for cryin' out loud!
we waited in line for an hour and a half - audra was great. we took turns taking audra for a walk around the mall while the other waited in line. she was fantastic looking at all the kids in line...until it was our turn to put her on santa's lap. while all the other parents felt so sorry for us and felt that our photo-op was going to be ruined, well, it was the complete opposite. one of the best moments with santa. also to be noted, santa was such a trooper...happy holidays!

tunnel time...
one of audra's birthday gifts, from us, was this tunnel. it didn't take her long to venture through it...
time to party...
audra's first official birthday party - even though she didn't have that afternoon nap, she was quite the trooper. enjoying the presents and attention. a lot of great toys to clutter our house with - thank you! she even chowed down on her grammie-made cupcakes. soon after the sugar buzz, the lack of the afternoon nap caught up with her...see last photo.

turning the big 0-1...
today, september 17th, 2008 is audra's first birthday. because of the power outage and everything, we'll celebrate in style this weekend. she's walking a lot now - only with the aid of her shopping cart. she's also trying to talk by babbling so it's only a matter of time. she does bark whenever she sees a dog...that's a start, right?

are you ready for some football?
yea, yea, we all saw/heard about week 1's bengals game. the only thing pretty about it was audra in her palmer jersey.
getting caught up...
since our internet has been down and temporarily fixed, not to mention the great news of our developing "little man"; we apologize for not posting more updates. this slide show is compiled of many events and get togethers - in no particular order. to help bring you all up to speed, audra will be turning the big 0-1 on next week. she's not walking or talking yet, but definately babbling that one could easily translate into very intellectual dialog. she continues to stand and 'shimmy' along side of things as well as standing in place. however, once she realizes she's standing on her own, she panics and falls comfortably down on her bum. enjoy!

audra's going to be a big sister! we are all excited and can't wait for the newbie to arrive january 31! we are 14 weeks along and loving every minute of it - we will keep everyone posted on the blog...

gettin' a move on...
for the past few months, audra has had no interest in crawling. all she wants to do is stand. she'll pull herself up and hold on for dear life. we thought she was going to by-pass the crawling phase and go straight to walking. until last tuesday. now, she realizes she can go places without mom and dad toting her around. she's even braved the stairs - she'll climb up the 4 steps from the living room to kitchen. probably not a good idea for dad to egg her on, but we're learning. she still wants to stand and pull herself up, but it's just amazing how fast she improves. she's been sleeping so well since her crawling muscles have been gassed...

visiting the gigas
my dad and i headed to nyc to see the reds and yankees in interleague play, visit my sister and visit with the nyc gigas (and 2 of the 3 maryland maddens). had a great time, thank you for all of your hospitality. audra and chrissy were sorry they couldn't be there (thanks in part to skybus going under)...
